vct solenoid power polarity
i want to cycle my vct solnoinds by applying 12 v to them. does it matter on polarity and if so which contact is positive.

the electical system in the truck is DC so polarity certainly does matter.

got it. cycled them with 12 volts while oil soaking

The solenoids are not polarity sensitive if disconnected positive and negative does not matter.
