Default valve spring might be broken

Driving back to washington and truck started acting up. Went to a Shop and the tech is saying more then likely a broken valve spring on cylinder 3. I have 400 some odd miles left till im home to base. I have to be back tomorrow. Do you guys think it will make it?

Explain the trucks symptoms a little more. I've never seen a valve spring break on 1 of these trucks but it is very possible. Is there hellacious noises? Missfire?

Mis fire cyl 3, mis on start up. real slugish to go from a stop, chugging down gas. Engine sounds horrible. Changed number 3 spark plug. It was shot. Went to a Shop guy hooked up a computer and cyl 3 value was like -100+.

Change the coil pack lol. You may have a major engine problem but I'm going with a bad injector or coil pack.

The tech checked coils and listned to injectors. I also swapped around coils also. They are all fine.

Hmmm. Just because and injector opens and closes doesn't mean its good. Is it smoking or anything? I mean if a spring break depending on how it broke the piston is prob gonna be hittin the valve and causeing all kinds of noisy hell.

I had a rebuilt JASPER engine put in my '90 F150. It was nice. Something like $4000 for the dealer to put that in 5 years ago.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck man. You can get it done a lot cheaper with a good shop and a junk yard motor or a jasper.
