You don't have a carb....
The only vacuum lines on the new (2004+) trucks are the ones used to engage the solenoid for 4wd.

i think i wanna tap into the 4x4 hose, dose anyone know where it is?
isnt it coming from the iwe selinoid to the hubs?

to answer the question of why i want one.

well i got a free dual gauge pod from a friend and i know i dont need it but it looks kinda cool, i see ppl all the time with voltage, oil pressure, water temp, and gas level and i look at them and say "why would you get what you already have on your dash?!?!?!?!?" so i wanted something different, hence a vaccume gauge, any better ideas???? useful gauges????? i still need one more.......

I used this (brake booster) for my vacuumn (AKA "econo guage").
Back in the 60's, they used to sell "Economy gauges" to help the driver "monitor" their gas mileage. It was simply a vacuumn guage with a green, yellow, and red face. Keep the needle in the green, and you were getting great mileage. Green was high vacuumn, meaning you were light on the gas pedal.

well i got my gauge hooked up but its kinda weird becuse it idles at 22 1/2 and when i have the truck in park and i rev it to 3000 rpm it slowly increases to 23....24....25 and so on, i thought it was supose to go strait down to about 5 when you rev the engin..........i also put it in 4x4 and the gauge went all the way down to zero. normal?

thanks but i already have the trans temp showing on my edge evo, anyone else?

Where did you splice the vacuumn gauge into? I "T'eed" mine to the brake booster, and it works as your expected results, meaning it shows 20 at idle, and decreases when the engine is rev'd or under excelleration. If you "T'eed" yours into the solenoid for the 4wd, then I'd say the solenoid is not providing "true" engine vacuumn. Go to Pep Boys (or comperable), and buy a T fitting. They sell one that you "cut" to size. The left/right will be large to T into the brake booster line, and the third fitting can be cut down to fit into your guage hose. In other words this T fitting is tapered, and can be cut to fit any vacuumn line diameter.
