Booster vac line blew off

Booster vac line blew off
I went to start my 05 F150 5.4 and it did not start right away and kind of like back fired. Smoke came out of the hood and into the cab. I popped the hood and did not see anything so I tried to start it again and it started. I drove off and when I went to slow down to make a turn I found out I did not have any vacuum brake assist and it was very hard to start. After a half an hour of fiddling I got the metal vacuum line hose back on the nearly impossible to get to rubber hose behind the engine up against the firewall. Fun.
About 4 months ago a shop replaced the intake gaskets in attempt to fix a misfire problem I was having which turned out to be coils like I told them. I think that the mechanic did not re-install the brake booster line properly.
Anyone else experience something like this?

Did you have the recall performed that replaces the booster hose? They were swelling with oil and coming off, so we installed new elbows with clamps on them. Give me you vin and ill check to see if you have an open recall. I believe it was 08S05

You have two open recalls, that booster hose one, 08S05, and the airbag clock spring replacement, 11S18. You should take it to the dealer and have both performed.
