Default USB and 12V Adapter Add-on

I bought a kit from eBay, designed for Marine life, so that I can add USB ports and another 12V power port.

Costs were about $20.

Here are the before and after photos.

If you are interested in the same, here is a listing title for one of their auctions:
Triple 3.1 Amp Dual USB 2 Port Charger + Voltmeter +12V Socket Panel Marine"

Why does the middle port differ from the right port?

Toshbar- That is the OEM port. I just left it since that's where I pulled power from.

This idea is AWESOME! How much was that kit?

Edit: Nevermind. I just read your original post. I've had a LONG weekend of driving up and down the coastline...

I'm sure they're on amazon too.

No problems. Easiest install I've done. Drilled holes for the new ports and put them in. They fit perfectly into the OEM bezel slot (on the back of the bezel there is a certain amount of space that an OEM plug would go). Then it's 2 wires, power and ground. I pulled power from the OEM cigarette port wiring. Yeah they are always live but I haven't had a single issue.

The eBay part of the discussion, it sucks that they come from China but they are actually a great item...surprisingly. I'm very pleased.

Looks good, I would definitely want covers or plugs to cover when not in use.
