You know before I bought my 06 I looked at a 05 Lariat that had this sort of modular roof mounting system where you could mount dvd players or little cubbies for sunglasses and what not and I thought that would be the perfect mounting point for a cb, get it up and out of the way yet easy reach just like the professional drivers. I have always preferred either overhead or down low. I would have mounted it down in the cubby below the cup holder personally but I do think your set up is very well done and certainly a great use of the space. And quite unique.

I have that system in mine.........great idea! I never thought of putting a CB there; gonna have to modify it obviously.......but it should work perfectly!
