Default United Welding Services tool box question

alright guys i just purcahsed a truck and it came with a UWS tool box but they didnt have a key to lock it, the previous owner must have kept it, but anyways i was wonderin how should i go about gettin a key, i looked on the UWS website and it didnt say anything about orderin spare keys like the delta one does, so my question is are the keys all the same for the tool boxes and where should i get one??????

i want to lock my box up because i usually have most of my tools with me in my truck, i always end up needin them somewhere

Your best bet would be to actually call UWS because I'm sure they don't have all the info on their website, expecially for someone in your situation.

Could a locksmith make a key?

My brother had a locksmith make a key for a tool box he had. It cost around $30.

Have you tried to reach the previous owner? If you got it from a dealership, let them know your predicament - they may have a locksmith re-key it for free since they sold it to you or they may be able to contact the previous owner.

I'm not sure I'd let them detail it, most of the time your going to get swirl marks all over the place because the people that detail the vehicles are way down the totem pole and don't have a clue what they are doing. I wouldn't even let them wash it if I were you.
