Default Uneven Tire Wear, can't figure out why

Ok, long story short, it was unevenly wearing when I got the lift installed. I found out that the place I had it done didn't have the proper allignment machine to allign oversized tires. So, I had to take it to 4wheelparts, buy a new tire, have them rotated and then alligned. So, over the past two years, the tire wear keeps getting worse. I've had the front end inspected like three or four times, tie rods are good, shocks are good, allignment has been done a couple times, rotated often so I don't know what it is. The wear is on the inside of the front tires, almost like if the tires are butterflied out like this /----\ Also, the wear isn't an even pattern, what has happened is that every other **** of my tire tread is more worn out then the other on the inside. The outside of the tire looks like there is no wear on it, but the inside, near the engine is pretty bad. I can't afford new tires right now, but I was wondering if I could flip the tires on the rim so hopefully the rest of the tire will start to wear too. Trying to make them last, as we all know, they're not cheap. Any help on what the wear could be caused from or if I can flip them on the rims to even out the wear. Thanks for your help.

If you're wearing the inside of the tires on both sides, your camber is screwed.

Until it's fixed, you're going to eat tires.

What is a camber and are they expensive to fix?

Camber is the tilt in you referred to, it can either be positive or negative.

It should have been checked when you had the lift put in.

Excessive camber can also be caused by worn balljoints, bushings, etc.

You've got an issue, if the shop that you're going to can't find it, time to find another mechanic.

I have the same issue as OP. I spoke with my local 4WPs manager about it last week when putting on new tires and he said it's extremely common on IFS trucks, particularly if you drive alot on curvy roads, and it's more exaggerated on lifted trucks. The only real answer is to rotate often and drive more slowly around curves

If it helps, he said it much worse on the chevy's, but regardless, they see it every week.

Ah yes. I forgot about "truck purity"..

A stock truck makes for a nice lawn ornament around my house in winter.
