Default Unclear about this: OEM Tow Package Receiver? Busted.

Hey guys. own a 04 F150 xlt that has, what I assume to be a factory tow package. 7 pin connector, receiver hitch and brake controller harness came with the truck. Ive been towing a 7000# GVWR 18' dovetail equipment trailer for a few years now and today I noticed something bad. The socket is tearing off the receiver assembly. It is badly rotted and needs to be replaced. I went ahead and removed the entire assembly from the truck. This hitch has the bumper mounts as part of the hitch. I need to replace this asap since towing this trailer is part of my business. Do you think I need a factory replacement or is there a stronger aftermarket replacement that will allow me to bolt the bumper to it? I am well prepared to install it myself as these things aren't intimidating to me, haha. any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Go with aftermarket, I believe they have higher weight ratings vs oem.
You should post up a picture, I'm curious as to what it looks like...

Here you can see the rot

This is where the socket started to tear away from the rest of the frame

Here is the bumper and hitch removed.

The problem is aftermarket hitches bolt to the existing structure that is under the bumper. I dont have the little tabs that would be under the bumper hitch. I dont have anywhere to even mount a bumper ball. On THIS setup, the chrome bumper was bolted to it. There is no other structure. Once the chrome bumper was removed, it was 4 bolts to remove this assembly. I'm thinking I'm going to have to replace it with a factory hitch. I just wanted to know if anyone else had any other ideas for a factory replacement.

Weld some bigger brackets on the stock setup. Maybe some triangulation. Just some thoughts

I've ordered an aftermarket receiver hitch from etrailer, a Draw Tite once piece setup. I'll be sure to post some pics of the new hitch and the bumper brackets I plan to make. Its definitely a cheaper way out from using a Ford part.
