One thing about this one though is that it is 2". That's good. I was just hoping for one that was smooth across the middle. Guess I'm being too picky with such little choices huh?
Thanks
Find a buddy and weld up one from that first site I gave. Or find a shop that will do the work for you. These hoods you have been looking at are $400+. If you buy one of those steel cowls ($250) and then take it to someone to get installed ($100) and maybe then Paint-To-Match ($150) you are out about the same if you bought a complete hood. Plus, you would get exactly what you want if you went this route. Just MHO though.

Thanks for the input Vanoford. I'll certainly consider it.

so you want the raised part to be flat and not have the two channels in it? I think I would consider mudding them in (depeding on how deep thay are).

Yeah... that's about the sum of it. Its just a shame that the induction cowl hood that I want, are still made for the F150's, but they are only for the older models... like up to the '03 models, or for the larger trucks and that's it. I found several of which I would choose, but its not for my model.
Mudding it in would work, but I just don't want to go that route. It just bothers me that with all the multitude of asseccories out there, this is the "limit" I have on induction cowl hood choices for a newer model truck. Fabricating is all one has left to do, or settle for what IS.
Thanks for the input guys!

wonder if you can buy a "scoop" and have it mudded to a stock hood?

Thunderslide... yeah... I'm sure that would work too. I'm just hoping I can settle on something where I don't do ANY fabrication myself.

JRYellowFX4.... please do post a pic of that Reflexxion cowl on here. That would be most excellent to see. I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!
