That's what I figured. More boost just make the waste gate harder to open. I thought about the shield idea but just don't trust that enough. I was watching hoarse power and they did a STS kit. I know it was a corvette but they were saying ya you get about a I psi drop but because the turbos stay so cold and get colder air it adds to about a 50 hoarse gain. Again that's on a corvettes. I want to go with ball bearing turbos because I want a set that will spoil around 1000 to 1500 rpm. Don't know it it's possible but would be nice and possible If I used a hybrid. It just sucks because no companies post their ve sheets.

You'll need a fairly small turbo to spool that low from my experience and with that you'll lose some top end power.

Ya that's what I figured. That's just a goal to I keep it as efficient as possible. If it spools there it would hold to probably 3 k or more and start losing boost around 3500 to 4k. Which isn't bad considering my truck red lines around 5100. And ill keep it like that till the motor gets rebuilt. Then at that time I be going forged and swapping for bigger turbos. Maybe dual compound turbos. This build is for fun but also research and development because I'm intending to start a 4x4 shop when I get out of the navy.

Talked to STS. The guy was really cool. For the Twin turbo universal kit plus pretty much every extra they sale it's 5400. For turbos good to 750 hp. The guy was really cool and said I can do pretty much whatever you want. I know they get their turbos custom built. Can't rember by who though.

So far I highly recommend them!

$5400 for a twin turbo kit properly sized to an F-150 is a great price!!.. That's almost cheaper then buying your own parts!!!!! They must have come down in price since the last time I checked them out..

keep in mind though. thats for the universal kit. the turbos are properly sized but ill have to do all the fab work for mounting and running all the lines for oil, exhaust and air. also with that price i get water meth injection so i have to mount that. i hope and this is a long hope, but i would like to start ordering parts at the end of this year.

Also they probably did come down a little since they got big and are probably selling more units. The cool part is as soon as i get out of the military and move back home im 45 minutes north of thier head quarters.

They were supposed to send me a write up but im gonna call them back if it doesn't get to me tomorrow.

Of the top of my head its two turbos all the oil lines and pumps, bov, electronic boost controller, wide band gauge, boost gauge, air fuel gauge, the pillar to hold them, two filters, heat shields, water meth kit, intercooler, bigger injectors , i think i would have to buy a fuel pump but i want a better fuel system anyways. basically the only thing I need is to run the pipes and pay for that.

I feel like there is more for that price but I'm tired and only on my phone. Once I get the estimate sheet from STS ill post exacts. Not really a bad deal IMO. Considering the turbos are 1500 to 2000 a piece. And they will build the turbo to my specs. Also like I said with these turbos I have room to grow because they are rated to 750 hp to the crank. If I get that in the truck ill be a happy camper.

The trick with them is to buy the universal kit and do all the fab work your self. Ill have to pay for tuning and Dino time but again I would want that over a can tune.
