Default Turning 5.4 into a beast

Alright so.. I was going to buy me one of those brand new 6.7L Powerstrokes but my wife basically told me no since we owe a little money on her car and she wants to pay it off before I get anything new. Anyway, I want to turn my 5.4L into an 50/50 onroad and offroad vehicle. I've got a 6" lift with a pretty good suspension plus gears, and the lighting effects, wheels and tires including spares, but my question is how can I dramatically improve horsepower performance? With the added weight she doesn't exactly giddy up like she ought to. My exhaust is stock and so is the entire engine. I'm willing to put a few grand into this build. Let me know what y'all think. Thanks.

Edge tuner with custom tune and long tube headers with high flow cats. Will be the best performance upgrades... then u can go with a little bigger cam.. not much u can do to theses 5.4s on the cheaper side besides tuner/headers

I was contemplating a 4.10 gear set also, the 3.55 gears I have right now make it seem like she's fighting up hill or against a head wind

Yeah....change your gears. Tune it. Will make a world of difference. Couple grand to have gears professionally done
