Tuner
Does anybody have any recommendations on a tuner for my 2006 FX4 with the 5.4L? I am looking for one to be able to help my 5.4 last forever (lower temps and better fuel burn) and to be able to tune it for when I am hauling the Bri-Mar dump trailer and travel trailer.
Also if anyone has one they are no longer using send me some info and a price.
Thank You everyone.

I would try to pick up an edge evolution man, I picked mine up used off eBay for 225 bucks. Works wonders

I have no interest in a custom tune for my truck. I waned something to monitor temperatures and a few other things. I decided to go with the Edge CTS. It comes with canned tunes just like all other tuners, but you cannot get custom tunes for it. The canned ones are fine for me. I have other toys for when I want to go fast. It works great for my needs.

+1 for Bucko and the rest of the Edge crew! I have the CS. The canned towing tune, which you can modify to your heart's content, helped me gain about 2 MPG while towing. DISCLAIMER: I also ran the Mileage Minder for a year or so until I learned how to use the gas pedal.
I also saw lowered trans temps with that tune. The tech guys or the Edge site can tell you exactly what it does, but there's definitely less heat in the fluid with that tune. The engine temps did not change, but I spent less time in lower gears so maybe that helps keep it cooler. This is probably a side effect of an attitude change that let me be OK with going 50 on a steep hill, but the driver is always the hardest part to fix!
