What was the original cost of the tuner?
$60 is not too bad for mail order tune if the tuners know what they are doing and are basing it on dyno results, etc. The LSx mail order tunes are around $150. I charge $350 for a LSx street tune, and dyno tunes can run $500+
I have no plans to do any major mods to my DD truck, unless I eventually put a blower on it (love my blowers ) I just want to max. some particualr parimeters to make it more enjoyable to drive.

Where can you get custom tunes from now? PHP is no longer doing them?

I just installed an Edge Evolution on my '08 4.6 yesterday. Made a huge difference (have it on the towing program). It shifts like it has a shift kit at WOT now too. Oh, and I actually HAVE a WOT now, instead of 76% or however far it would go before.

PHP definitely knows what they are doing, especially for our trucks. Whether you buy the edge and order custom tunes or you buy their gryphon and order custom tunes you will end up with the exact same product! The only difference is the color and possibly the price depending on how cheap you find an edge. However if you buy the gryphon the tunes cost half price so cost isn't a big difference. So either way you will end up with the same product! And after trying multiple setups their custom tunes are better than any canned setting offered in any programmer on the market. Plus it looks great having that information pod on your dash! I personally bought a superchip, then edge evolution, then ordered custom PHP tunes, and believe me they were worth every penny between the performance and mpg increases.

Are you stating or asking if PHP does tunes any more?

I keep seeing people post this but it is not true! I personally received custom tunes this year! They no longer custom tune the edge CS or CTS which are the larger screen versions that use different software. However they still tune the evolutions style!

I get that and I'm not saying it's expensive compared to others but I'm saying is I used to get custom mail order tunes for free with my old stang. But that's a different vehicle.
