Default Truck shut off while driving

I have a '06 F-150 5.4. The other day it shut off while i was driving, but started back up. When i rev up to about 3000 and let off the rpms drop to about 200 and it almost stalls. i have already had the alternator checked, and it is reading out good. The truck just isnt running right. whenever i press the pedal to accelerate it usually takes and extra inch on the pedal or hesitates to rise in rpms. not sure what to do. any help is greatly appreciated.

check your air filter and make sure it isnt clogged. also might not hurt to run a few bottles of fuel injection cleaner through to clean things up. also its a good idea to clean the throttle body when youre having idle problems. just my 2cents

Ok just for the heck of it try this..........
Put key in the ignition switch and turn it to the ON position and wait for the chimes to quit.
Then slowly press the gas pedal to the floor and let it come back up as fast as you can then turn the key to off!
Then do this two more times for a total of three times.....it easy and won't hurt anything and it may even kix your problem.
Good Luck and let us know if it works for you!

Yes that's exactly what it is.......look it doesn't cost anything at all to try it so just do it....if it works you're done....if it's doesn't at least you know it's not your TPS!
