Truck pulling power around 3500 - 4000 rpm

I would stay away from cleaning throttle body as the more often than not creates more problems than it solves. However a bad throttle body or TPS is a possibility. How many miles on your truck? As far as the power loss is concerned what is it your losing acceleration/pickup or top end? These trucks have ok pickup at the low end because they push out all their torque very early on but by design do not have a lot at the top end.

I would take off the throttle body and clean it with approved "throttle body cleaner" (CRC brand at Wal-Mart is fine). I have done this on 4 trucks with the 5.4 3V and no issues ever. Also, my truck was throwing a code for IMRC stuck open, cleared it 3 times in the course of a month. Then when it came back a 4th time, I ran a half bottle of seafoam through the brake booster line and it has never came back. That was a year ago.
