Default Truck lacks power after car wash....?

I have a 2006 5.4 3V with 90k. I washed my truck yesterday and after the car wash it really struggled to accelerate. It was mainly between 1500-3000 rpm's. Today after sitting overnight it seemed like the power was pretty much back.

Any ideas?

Do any undercarriage washing or spray a lot in the front driver side wheel well?

Just thinking maybe you got some water sucked into your air filter. Temporarily clogged it up a little which would explain the lack of power. Then it dried over night and is fine now. The inlet to the intake system is right above the drivers side front tire and wheel well. Check it and see if there are any signs of water or any residual.

Thank you for the response! I was thinking that could possibly be an issue but wasn't sure if there are other things that might cause it.

I did check it. There was some corrosion but no holes or cracks that I could see. That's what made me question if it was the FPDM because I couldn't see where water could enter and was wondering if water getting anywhere else would do something similar. I think im going to go ahead and replace it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely check that. Appreciate the response. I'm also probably going to replace my FPDM based on some other research and suggestions. Hoping its one of these 2 options.

So driving my truck today it staying acting a little similar again like it lacks power from low to mid throttle and the truck is dry. I ordered the fpdm and just waiting for it to ship. Hoping it solves my problem. I thought for sure when it got wet and was struggling and then dried out it was the fpdm, hopefully it still is. It definitely feels fuel related. I will update after I install the new one
