Was driving home and on the highway it shuttered and stalled out gauges never changed but check engine light was flashing any ideas

It just happened and I think it's something to do with oil pressure and sending unit it was losing oil pressure when I let off the gas

Well the motor is shot is what the dealer told me. And after a little research found out the original owner didn't do regular oil changes. sludge build up to the point of no repair. now it's $5600 out of my pocket for a new motor
