Default Truck Idle speed

When i turn on my truck it idles at 1000 to 1200 and sounds perfect then in like 30 seconds the idle speed drops to around 800 and sounds like a diesel even if press the pedal to run at 1000 it still doesn't sound right. Help please. Check engine lights on p0022. 2005 f150 148k miles.

dump some seafoam in the oil about 200 miles before your next oil change and then try 5W-30 oil
