Check ur key cylinder. Wife took truck to work and they broke in there. Mine was pushed in with a thin slotted screwdriver. Drove 30+ miles before I noticed a backpack in the backseat. Turns out it was from another f150 that was broken into at business close by. Ended up replacing cylinder and plastic handle surround.

Oh man that sucks, I had my truck broke into back in february. They smashed in the driver side window in the freaking rain. Ransacked the whole thing. Broke the dash getting the radio out. It was about 2pm brod daylight parked right in front of tacobell and no one saw anything. Did about 3,300 bucks in damage.

A year back my sister had her (2003 Dodge ram) truck stolen from a big lots/ Blockbuster/ nail spa parking lot. She was walking out of work to find that her truck was gone! Also the theifs left another Dodge parked by where hers was

The *******s also stole the remote control to my pace edwards power toneu cover. When the cops came over to do the report they said that I probably left the truck unlocked because there was no sign of force entry. BUT I NEVER LEAVE MY TRUCK UNLOCKED. I am so careful with my truck, and pay such close attention to it. Plus I wake up every morning to start my truck, and I have never found it unlocked. It kind of interesting that the one time, I would leave my truck unlocked, someone comes in and steals stuff. Also this all happend in the driveway of my own house between 12am and 5am. My question is if you guys know if its easy to break into our trucks without a force entry? It seemed like these guys would need to have an extra keyless entry to do what they did, but they didnt. The same thing happened to my brother truck with his stock keyless entry, but he has an XLT without the door handle keypad. Now I have to get an aftermarket alarm which sucks. Since I have, and want to keep my remote car start, an alarm is going to run me $650 installed after all the bullcrap that they add on. Also does anyone know if we can keep our original ford remote start and an aftermarket alarm together? Thanks for any imput or advice. This incident is going to cut into my new tires budget which I was looking to do this week.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. You can't change the situation you're in so hopefully you'll be able to find a less expensive route for an aftermarket alarm. I had my Ram 1500 broken into a while back where they stole money, receipts and miscellaneous stuff. If I catch whoever did it I certainly won't be calling the cops.

That would have been a rough time. Someone break into your truck and then your home? Hell if I found the culprit I would have his girlfriend's head on my d**k!

here's what i did, i changed the code on the truck, and realized that after you punch your code, if you hit "0", it unlocks the driver door only, but if you hit "0" AND "3", it will unlock all of your doors.

i kinda spend the coin on a Viper smart start. it's a remote starter with GPS and security.

someone wants to take my truck, that's ok.

but they'd better get away from it before i catch up to them. cause when that truck stops... the killing starts!!!! ("1000 ways to die"... i'll show you #1001 !!!)

I just got back from cartoys today looking at a similar alarm. Its the clifford cs5000. It has the remote start and gps feature too. They quoted me $698 out the door...sh$#..they said that they have to put some kind of modem in there because our keys have some kind of chip..did they do that for yours too??? Have much did it cost you?

guess i'm lucky , i have motion lights all the way around my house , it very noticable when one is tripped and they come on , neigbors are pretty good about watching for poeple that don't belong on my sblock , and the one that I do watch has been told before if I see the on my property i won't even open the window to shoot them my truck go's from my house to work and maybe to wal-mart once in a while , My work has cameras every where, so no worrys there but out in town I worry like hell and if we go out to eat I pack heat everywhere I can and try to set close to the window so I can see my truck . I went to Englishtown , NJ to the spring swap meet and was in nervous all day !!!!
