Angry Truck broken into

I ran out to my truck after class because it was pouring and I get in to get ready to head home. I had to park in the far parking lot because I got to school late and my college is so over populated there are never places to park. I realized my ipod was not in the transmitter where I usually leave it. I thought it fell on the floor or something but I had no luck finding it. I got out to check the passenger side and realized my door lock was drilled out and the door handle was broken. I immediately realized someone broke into it and stole my ipod. I just filed a police report but it suks because I just bought a new 120G Ipod classic. Now I got to do some research into a security system so this does not happen again and get another ipod.

the security system wont do a damn thing to secure your stuff. seriously though....its south florida, nothing gets left out of the center console when i park my truck. if you are further concerned, get a Gun Vault to secure your stuff.

I know I shouldnt have left it sitting in plain sight but I never expected someone to drill my door just for an Ipod. At least they didnt go into the center console and find my superchips flashpaq sitting in there. So you guys dont think some kind of alarm system will help at all?

Have you ever noticed when an audio auto alarm goes off in public, everyone looks around, but no one does squat? If you want to make noise, buy an alarm that chirps, whistles, plays musical tunes, provides "manly commands to back away"; it entertains folks. If you want to slow down or prevent a person from breaking into the truck, go after the jimmi jammer. Better than any audio alarm IMO.

Here's the link (again):
