Yea u didn't mention those codes!! Wait till it gets dark and take the truck for a drive then pull over and see if any of the converters are glowing red? That will be a indication they are clogged! But I'm betting that's the problem

Check/clean the MAF and air filter. It's simple and cheap.

Well depends on if it's ur front or back cats, if its the back I'd just remove them and not replace them and that will save u hundreds. So that's why I say look and see witch ones get red if any of them do?

If I remember right the extended warranty on exhaust from Ford goes to 84k miles; mine went bad right at 36k and I didnt pay a dime; the dealership even gave me a free rental for a week while they waited on parts.

Drove for half hour last night and didnt see anything, however when it started sputtering i kept on it for a bit and got a misfire in cylinder 3 code, on my way to fill up gas and get a coil pack. How hard is it to get to the MAF sensor?

Real easy, its right on top above your air filter. Unplug it and 2 hex screws and its out. Just make sure its properly cooled first. They make a cleaner just for it also electronic parts cleaner works well too.

Thumbs down

Back again...I have now cleaned my MAF, cleaned and recharged my air filter, and replaced both the spark plug and coil pack on cylinder 3 as it had a misfire.

I've still been checking for a glowing Cat, but cannot see one. Truck still runs horrible, and even with my brand new plug and coil, cylinder 3 continues to show misfire codes.

Edit: I can see the 2 Cats under the cab of the truck, but are there more than that? and where exactly are they, maybe im not looking in the right place, are they hard to see?

Edit 2: I see its possibly the fuel injector, this doesnt seem like a hard thing to replace.
