In my opinion, dumping the pan to add only 5 quarts of good, fresh Royal Purple fluid and have that mix with almost 9 quarts of dirty, old fluid is a waste of money you spent on the good stuff (Royal Purple).
Unfortunately, we don't have drain plugs on the torque converters. If it were me, I'd get all the old fluid out (flush unit) and put ALL Royal Purple in (13.9 quarts), or comperable good quality automatic transmission fluid.

no i cleaned the mag it stuck to the pan,and its grey. i work at an oil change shop and did one the other day that had the plug in it too, kinda freaked out but then i talked to some guys and they said it come from the factory like that. it makes sense because that thing is the same size as the dipstick tube. all i know for sure is it works fine with out the yellow thing floating around the pan
