The 4r75W or similar in our 2005 and newer trucks has a another design flaw from Ford. The Forward Drive drum snap ring groove was cut in to the drum resulting in a failure of the metal over time due to the higher pressures in the 2005 and newer tranys. The result is no forward gears but reverse works fine. If you have your trany rebuilt or replaced make sure they are using a redesigned part (most likely after market as I am not seeing a redesign referenced in Ford Motor parts). I love my truck but it is my last Ford product as I am tired of paying for their mistakes. Wheel end unit failure due to badly placed and unprotected vacuum servo for the auto locking hubs (Mounted behind battery in water drain path from windshield - newer models all have hooded servos). Spark plugs!!, Cam Phasers, which it actually looks to be an oil pump issue over time. (take a look at Jaspers video on the engine, they show that the aluminum backing plate on the oil pump allows for to much oil to weep out at higher RPM, i.e. higher oil pressure. As a result less out oil to cam phasers.) Frame rot due to defective metals from the frame suppliers (same problem with Chevy and Toyota during similar model year, only Toyota recalled them, Ford is getting away in most cases as the rot is not located in direct relation to a suspension component and therefore not deemed as safety hazard), rear diff covers start to weep gear fluid directly thru cover metal (not a gasket leak actually weeps thru cover itself). Cab corner rot on supercrew due to design flaw located on back of cab between cab and bed (actually a vertical opening leading up and around to internal of to closed cavities inside the cab corner/rocker panel.
