Default Transmission leak can't figure out.

I've had a 2005 F150 5.4 auto for about 2 years now. Last week I was parked at work when I look under my truck and see a fist sized puddle under the truck. Looked under it more and saw drips on the crossmember that goes under the front of the transmission. When I got home got under it and saw it was tranny fluid. Cleaned it up and decided to see if it would happen again. Next day same thing smaller puddle. The thing I can't figure out is where it's coming from. The fluid is dripping from the very front but if I pull the plastic access plug on front of the tranny it's dry as a whistle. Pan is dry and fluid and filter were done about a year ago. Anyone have the same thing or seen it?

You probably have a slight leak on one of your transmission cooler lines...

This. Sometimes they rub against the engine or frame. I've had some do it to me, although it was a chevy van, but same concept. Check your lines for free play. Flick them to hear any possible thunk against something solid.

The transfer case also uses transmission fluid so check around it for leaks as well.

the rear seal on the transmission is known to leak. It leaks into the transfer case. Pull the top plug on the transfer case slowly and see if you get anything out

It's not the tranny lines, it's not anywhere near the rear seal. See pic. Anytime I wipe it up its back in about a day later. The only thing I can think is its the front seal going and running down the front of the tranny. The strange thing is if I pull the plastic plug there its almost dry as a bone maybe a small amount of fluid but not like what's on the outside.

Check your dipstick where it goes into the transmission. Also look at the tube itself. If it's cracked or has a hole in it, it can leak also.

Checked the tube looks fine. Nothing for the power steering runs that far back. That's the rear cross member. I'm thinking it's the start of the front seal going
