I just bought my second f150 this one is an 04 stx 4.6 4x4 it has a 3in body lift with 35in tires the overdrive went out. done research most everybody says the overdrive band. my question is can i just replace the overdrive band or do i have to rebuild? and if i rebuild is there a uptodate rebuild manual because i only find 2 for the 4R70E or W theres one for procedures and one to up date the procedures. also which i also dont know what one it is because the owners manual is **** and it does not have "A" for the TR code in the truck app. so now im guessing that it is the 70E. i would also like to get some in put on the better rebuild kits for that type if that is nessary. I am mechanicly inclined just cant spell is there any really special tools that i will need and cant improvise something else? ie balincing tools or something in that nature. any words of wisedom would be greatly appriated except for the ones that say take it to a pro or buy a rebuilt one. thank you very much
