Transmission Flush / 30k Service
Ok, I bought my truck (2006 Ford F-150 Screw 4x4) used with 27,330 miles on it in January....I just recently hit the 30,000 mark and looked through the maintenance guide...I called up the dealership and at first they wanted about 900 dollars for the entire service...I told them I had JUST bought the truck...they looked up the history and said I should be fine for everything except for a transmission flush which would run about 200 dollars...on my previous F-150 (1998 Ford Supercab 2wd) I do not really remember replacing the transmission fluid...what do yall recommend?
...I did search and found a few threads, but nothing really conclusive
Thanks in advance for the help

Ford offers two flushes 1) drop the pan and disconnect a cooler line to pump all the fluid out of the TC about 12~15 quarts of fluid. 2)drop the pan and 5~6 quarts of fluid. Thats why his was only 89.00 and your will be 200.00 cannot compare less than half the fliud swap with a full fluid swap.

A pan drop with 4 to 6 quarts and filter is usually around $40.00 to $50.00 at transimission shops. I don't use this service as it only changes about 1/4 of the fluid. A flush is best.
I thought our owners manual suggested this at 75K?
