Default Transmission fluid change question

New guy here on the forum, used the information here to change the fuel filter on my 07 F150 last weekend, was going to tackle transmission fluid change this weekend, but am a little confused?? at 30k miles does the recommended maintenance call for the transmission to be "flushed" or can i simply drop the pan and replace the filter? just started doing my own maintenance so not super "handy" but trying to learn..all help is greatly appreciated

I'd just drop the pan and refill. The pan gasket should be re-usable just one time, I think. Don't use the crappy one that comes with the new filter. When you drop tha pan you may have the "mystery part" in there; a plastic plug that looks like a small toy top; don't be alarmed it's just the dust plug from new. Just discard it and continue on.
