Default Transmission Fluid Change Fiasco-SOS!!!

Hello, I have a 2006 F-150 4.2 liter automatic. I went to change my tranny fluid. Not knowing yet that I was supposed to get it flushed, I dropped my tranny pan and this little yellow piece falls in the pan and I did not see where it came from. I have no idea where to put it back in. It is pointed round on one side with a black rubber o-ring and a skinny tube on the other. It looks like a toy top that you spin with your fingers. I am outta luck cause my truck got stuck in my driveway and now I can't get to work tomorrow. Can anybody help me? Thanks

Don't fret it man...it is to be thrown away..as per my Haynes manual..."Discard the factory-installed dust plug. This plug will be in the pan if this is the first time the fluid has been drained".....and the pic i'm looking at, looks like the top shape you've described.

Yep. My Haynes says the same about that factory assembly plug.

You'd think they would have imbossed a note to the same effect on this plastic plug to alert folks.

Gotta wonder how many others panic'd when they dropped the pan and saw this thing!

Hey anyone out there that can tell me how to drain my transmission. It's on a 2004 4x4 with a 5.4 liter engine. I looked all around the tranny pan an could not find the drain plug. Help
