No abuse. I drove the truck 105000 miles on trans1. Had #2put in and now 5000 miles later it's screwed up. I know things go wrong with anything but everyone I know who had a Honda or toyota has had well over 100000miles and was still running strong.
I'm sorry but after three trans in my mustang and still having shifting problems and now three trannys for the truck I have concluded ford really sucks.
My volvo had over 300000 miles on original trans and motor never should have sold it. It wad an 89 before ford bought volvo out

And just because your trans blew out on both your mustang and f150 doesn't mean Ford stinks. Out of ALL the cars my family has owned :Suzuki, Honda, Ford, Isuzu, Chevy, Toyota---the F150 is the ONLY car to not have any issues, major or minor. 115kmiles and going strong.
