Trans jerking at 50-60 mph

I have the bang bang noise at 45mph and if I hammer it I drive through it. Seems like the truck bogs down at that speed.
Just got a Lisle tool on Ebay and the plugs will be changed very soon as the truck will flip 90k miles in another few days.

Mine does same. 111K on it now. Changing plugs and COPs tomorrow. Took it to Aamco for inspection, they changed fluid and filter and supposedly dropped the valve body to look and found nothing obvious. Hopeful it is a misfire also. No codes showing. If you get back on the gas does it shift down and work properly? That is not always possible in traffic, believe me I know. For a time I was just turning OD off when I was in low speed freeway situations.

I have the same. Dropped $3500 on a torque converter and redone tranny with upgrades, still does the jerk (rumble strip like, very intermittent, usually needs a bit of incline/hill). Not the tranny I am now also getting a little kachunk from 1-2 shift at times.
In the shop's defense, they did ask about the fuel filter, last plug change, (both within 5k miles). Also my tranny was pretty crappy - fine metal bits, visibly warn pieces. (bought used).
Anyway, all indications are that this issue is commonly caused by ignition related problems. If you have newer plugs, probably the COPs. I am getting my own BT ODB2 reader and see if I have any indication of a misfire. My theory is the issues shows in this range because right as the TC locks the engine is in a maximum load at min rpm.
My question for folks - my engine appears pretty sludgy (VTC solenoid swap revealed). Can sludge be a contributor to this type of misfire behavior? I have Kreen on order.

Mine had the same issue when I was test driving it. It was the spark plugs! I though for sure it was the transmission. I bet it goes away as soon as you downshift right?
How many miles do your spark plugs have on them? When were they changed last?

I bought that tool off eBay too but I just got my motor to running temp then I took an air hose and blew out around each plug then sprayed pb blaster on them and backed them out with an 18volt impact. Only took me 3 hours and none broke. Hopefully you will have the same luck

I got 6 and 2/3 plugs out today. Not a great number. Rear plugs were the culprits. One side I have yet to break. Have been soaking it. Other side felt like it came loose but of course you dont have much idea if the threads are turning but the bottom is not. There was some carbon build up for sure but probably not beyond normal. I have the too so I will see what kind of access I can get tomorrow. One plug did not seem full seated. That alone could cause the hesitation. I had PZT 1F's in there. Not sure if the PO ever changed them.

Didnt think of using the cordless impact. Was thinking of using the corded impact gun.
The cordless would be smaller and easier to maneuver.
