I get the same thing at about 45 when I let off and get back on it. Almost like it slams back into gear. I didn't know what to think of it as this is my first Ford. Didn't know if it was just a ford truck thing or not. Because it seems fine otherwise.

I just found this thread and will check tonight to see if turning off the OD helps. I am having the same problem. Has anyone figured out a fix for it?

I don't kow if this has anything to do with it or not but I was getting the same thing or at least it sounds the same My first ford also it pretty much has done it since I got the truck I just put as a ford thing but just recently I had custom tunes put in and part of it was smoothing out the shift points and I don't notice it any more.

the clunking in reverse is just the transmission picking up the slack in the gears driveshaft and rearend that is held firm with the rear brakes. common in all automatics just more noticable in certain trannies.
