Tranny won't engage without shift all the way to first
Ok, my wife had a pretty good wreck last february that ended with a complete frame replacement for my 2005 Screw.
After getting it back from the Bodyshop this summer, I noticed that it will not shift into gear correctly anymore.
To get into reverse, I need to shift below N, then back up into reverse.
To get into [D] I need to shift below D into 2nd or 1st, then back UP into D. If I don't do these things, it stays in Neutral.
When I shift to [1] it's really in 2nd. But it will shift to 1st when I mash the throttle in [D]
Is this something with the shifter linkage? I'd take it back to the bodyshop (need to anyways since they didn't put tow hooks on the new frame), but I live in the mountains and don't get down to Denver where the shop is that often.
Any ideas?
