Default tranny question

i need to now what type of transmission my truck has cuze im thinking of purchasing a automatic shift kit. has anyone put a shift kit on a 2004 ford F150 with the 4.6 4x4. Bad or good idea

not exactly sure, but i think the valve bodies are the same. i would just get a tuner and use the shift kit in that rather than putting in an actual shift kit. with the tuner, referring to the edge specifically, others are alike i am sure, you can adjust shift point, how hard and fast you shift, etc.

the w is much more electronically monitored. the internals are nearly identical.

yes....the 4r70 and 4r75's valve bodie kits work and are interchangeable
