tranny probs

Default tranny probs

I have a 05 f150 with the 5.4 if I drive it in over drive and get on the gas hard it pauses for a second like it loses power when shifting out of over drive if I turn over drive off it runs perfect any sugestions

Sounds like it might be somewhat normal. Just the torque converter unlocking because of you giving it more throttle. When pressing the OD off button first, that is what unlocks the TC (not throttle position).

So if I try installing a anti slip converter it will probly stop

In the 04 to 08 f150 they have an electronic throttle body that what gives you the pause on hard acceleration it's a pain to get uses to but noting is wrong

Take your throttle body off and clean it, then clean your maf sensor with maf cleaner (only) then look up throttle body calibration on this forum once it's all back together. It will make a huge difference on the hesitation.
As for the TC, throttle position as engine load are what the PCM uses to lock and unlock the clutch. It you press the o/d button it drops you down to 3rd gear and keeps you out of 4th. However the PCM will still lock up the torque converter in 3rd if it wants to.
