Default tranny issue

I am not sure what to really call it. Rmps do not rev. Its almost like a rough shift. About 4 or 5 jerks and its smooth again. Doesn't happen all the time. Usually 4th to 5 or 3 to 4th. Any suggestions? Its an 06 lariat woth 130k.

it's more likely a misfire from what i've researched. I have the same problem and finally got the CEL to flash but it didn't store a code. I will be changing plugs as soon as the weather is decent around me or I can find someone to do it for a reasonable cost.

They say the plugs usually only last to 100k so if you've got 130k with a misfire it more than likely has the original plugs. Just read some spark plug theads and get the lisle tool and you'll be golden. But it could also be a bad coil pack. I test drove a 06 5.4 and it had a slight buck and jump if you lugged it around and it was a bad coil pack. Hope this helps!

I will look into that. Thanks! Anything helps when it comes to my truck! Nothing worse than having your truck screwed and it costing an arm and a leg!
