Default trailer wiring harness ?

So my pick up(2008) didnt come with a towing package it only has the flat 4 plug, so Im trying to get it switched to a round 7, i know the pick up has the trailer brake plug so Im wondering if I can take the section of wiring in the back out, via the connectors and put one in from the factory with a 7 plug instead. I hope this makes sense.

I have an 05 that I switched my 4 pin to a 7 pin. The only problem I had was trying to mount the 7 pin plug somewhere because I did not want to drill into the bumper.

And this for the round end so you don't need to drill?

I might be corrected on this, but I recall seeing a 4 pin to round 7 connector at Pep Boys, in their trailer section. This adaptor has the 4 plug on one end, and the round 7 wire on the other. Wouldn't this work?

Tractor supply has them for like $20. It just plugs into the 4 pin and then you have the other wires you can wire up if needed

i like the factory setup that has both the flat 4 plug and the round 7 plug i busted my round 7 plug on accident the other day, but i order a new plug from etrailer, all it is a simple plug and go, i thought they would have a setup you could buy where you could get both like the factory has????

I have a 7 plug wired up right now that runs through the flat 4 and a jump wire for the brake controller, same set up as is sold for 20 plus dollars for like $7.
