I have a 2005 extended cab 4x4 XLT with 6.5 bed.

The truck came without a trailer hitch, will a 2 WD trailer hitch from the factory fit? I am trying to find a use factory hitch from a junkyard.

If I had to bet, there is not a difference in a 2WD or a 4WD as far as factory hitches go.

The receiver hitch from the factory is integrated into the bumper mounts and runs around $500 new. Aftermarket receiver hitches bolt right on with existing holes in frame as long as there is not a factory receiver on it, and they are a lot cheaper. https://www.google.com/#q=2005+f150+hitch&tbm=shop
