Default Trailer Connector Low Voltage

2006 F150 - has round 7? prong and flat 4 prong factory installed wiring connectors. Right turn and stop work fine. Left turn and stop have only 7 volts on both the flat and round connectors. If I follow the wires from these connectors near the bumper for about 18 inches there is a large wiring harness plug up near the bed. I have not at this point unplugged this connection to check the voltage there. Any help appreciated.

Default Fixed - Thanks to this forum

Read the other posts regarding similar problems. Zeroed in on fuse 42. Bad! Replaced. Fixed. Thanks!

Default Fuse 42

I must say that fuse 42 is not the easiest fuse to replace. Had to stand on my head to get to it.

I hear ya! And fuse 42 wasn't even in the owners manual diagram! I used a flashlight and a set of bent needle nose pliers and it was fairly easy . That blank fuse in the upper left hand corner is fuse 42.

On my fuse panel cover each fuse is marked - as well as 42. Didn't need to refer to the manual. I removed relay R201 just to be able to see fuse 42. The little plastic fuse grabber supplied by Ford worked OK.

I think this is a common problem. Now that I know where it is, it won't be a major problem.
