Emblems
I bought the back tailgate emblem on the bay that was all black Was wondering if anyone does these for the sides and the other tailgate emblem in all black. If not plasti dip is my option. The would replace the F-150 that are all silver

I used 2 coats of spray paint adhesion (rattle can), and a few coats of regular matte black spray paint. I just masked off my emblems on my truck and did it right there. I think it looks a bit unfinished without some kind of inlays, so I changed mine a couple times.

How did you tape of the emblem so that the "F-150" wasn't black. I really want to do mine in red and black. I'd really like to get the 09 FX4 emblems but i'm not willing to pay the price.

Member Moody Blue on here does custom overlays.
Here are the overlay/inlays he did for my 12. Not sure if he does prior to 09 but worth asking.
I blacked out the bases of the emblems with plastidip prior and then did the overlays on top as I wanted the blue on black look.
