Personally, i'd just keep the f150. From your avatar pic, it looks pretty badass, i would only trade if his had aftermarket mods like yours

U seem to know plenty about diesels from your posts.. Anything I should watch out or be careful for?

The main thing i'd watch out for would be the transmission. As for engine, i'm not 100% on the last year for the forged rods, its either 00 or 01 so you could have the forged or PMR's. and it'll have the older style interior, as opposed to the 02-03 interior. Other than that, should be good

They had the 4r100 in the 01, but from my understanding, for that year model it had some problems.

Check for gooseneck, will tell a lot about its life. Watch for blow by. Google how to check. If engine is cold watch for any sign of white smoke at start up. Just keep in mind with a turbo diesel, maintenance is almost double than gas and replacement parts are more expensive.

As long as the interior isn't shot, I'd go for it.
