Default Trading the Truck

I found an extended cab 7.3 powerstroke for sale and the guy wants to get $14,000 for it or trade for a crew cab truck... We have talked and he says there's nothing wrong with it but it just seems unlogical for someone to trade a 7.3 powerstroke with 180k for a gas 5.4 triton f150 with 167k on it... Do u think I could possibly getting ripped off? He says he is tired of paying for diesel fuel, has no need for a diesel, and needs a crew cab. I just feel weird cuz that truck is worth way more than mine is. Does it sound okay to y'all? What all should I watch out for? He even told me I was getting the better end of the deal he just has to have crew cab... Please have me advice on what to do and what to watch out for?

I'd say his isnt worth that much more than yours about equal IMO. I'm not saying anything is wrong with that truck but just remember usually lifted trucks and diesels live a hard life. Again not saying this truck has or hasn't but most of them have.

There will be some things I will miss... I need something for college tho and I LOVE my truck but I am a big diesel enthusiast and a big fan of the 7.3. Besides, the 7.3 is like unbreakable.

What year 7.3? 7.3's aren't the non breakable engines people make them out to be. They're great but i'm just saying lol. Hes probably for real. Diesel maintenance is WAY more expensive and paying for diesel sucks.

I mainly want it cuz it only has 180k on it. That's literally just getting broke in for a 7.3. I'm gonna bring my friends bro with me to look at it he knows a ton about 7.3's

True. I am prepared for that though. Plus, hopefully I can learn to do a lot of the maitence DIY. And my dads friend is the head diesel mechanic at our local school bus garage and knows a ton about 7.3.
