So my truck is a 2wd and I've been looking for someone who wants to trade for a 4x4. I'd really enjoy having the 4wd, always anted one but haven't wanted to foot the bill for it.

I have an offer for an 04 ram 5.7 Hemi with about 200k on it. He had the motor rebuilt 7 months ago. I think about 5k miles since then.

The truck is an SLT crew cab, cloth seats, and the interior looked really clean. 4x4 works fine. I've just had doubts about mine in the three weeks I've had it back and I have been wanting a 4x4 for a long time. I need the truck to last me one year and I'll be buying a 2011-16 Super Duty.

He's got higher miles and said he wanted a Ford from the beginning but his Dad got him the truck as a gift and he wasn't going to turn it down. As far as I can tell the truck doesn't have major issues and of course I will do my due-dilligence when I see it in person.The guy wants to swap straight across, am I crazy? Its not often a 2wd to a 4wd trade happens....

Stick with yours if you only intend to keep it a year or so. No need to trade for someone elses problems....

I agree, a year with a vehicle that you know will go fast, a year with the finding unknowns out can feel a lot longer.
