The reset tool was another $28..or maybe someone has one to use. Be sure they are the right frequency for your truck.

You can google the exact steps, but here's what some in the Mustang crowd do to deal with the TPMS light. They swap back and forth between street/strip/race tires, so instead of swapping the TPMS sensor between rims each time, they put the sensors in what they call a 'TPMS Pipe Bomb'. They take a piece of 2" PVC pipe. Cement an end cap to one end. The fit a valve stem to the other cap. Place the TPMS sensors in the pipe, cement the valve stem-capped end on. Pump up the assembly to something like 40-50 psi. Place it in truck of car. Seems to work well. Again, these steps are from memory. More details online.

So am I understanding correctly that I can use either the valve stem type or the band type?

Valve stem type is easier to change in my option. When I get new wheels I'm planning to go with stem type

my 07 f150 have band type and my 12 focus have stem style.
they are both 315Mhz sensor.
I can't see why my focus sensor wouldn't work on my f150.
