If you take them to discount tire they will switch them over and rebuild them for fairly cheap.

i upgraded to the 2016 wheels, and didnt want to buy band sensors do to there high price, and even the bands alone were very expensive, but i ended up carrying over my old band sensors secured with heavy duty 48" zip ties and double stick tape, turned out very well.

conveniently i work at a tire store so it wasnt a problem, but thanks for the info!
