i dont know about the older manuals... but the newer ones i thought had all the weights in it.. and also had how much area you could have facing the wind and how many lbs you could pull like that...
then had it broke down into 3.73 or 3.55 or which wheelbase you have and also which tires ytou have... 17 inch wheels and tires are best for higher hauling lbs.18inch drops it 500 lbs and 19 inch drops it another 500 lbs.

Thanks Guys- I know the manual says 9000 lbs but I just really question whether that is a good idea. 75 percent is about 7000lbs so that is a decent size rig. Thanks again.

I have a 2004 double-cab 5.4 with 3.73 LS and 18" wheels. The manual says that the max weight is 8700#, but with the 17" rims it would be 9200#. I also have an electric trailer brake controller. Definitly worth it if you do a lot of hauling. Didn't know you could go goose-neck on a 150 ?
