When you say "all off" you don't mean you cut the front out also do you? The front sensor is critical. It determines you air/fuel ratio. Without the front two cats and sensors, your truck will be loud but your performance is probably horrible.

I was going to ask the same question Why did you take them off. What were you hoping to gain? I'd put them back on, that's just me. Good luck with that

when you guys say the front cats are you reffering to the 2 cats clossest to the motor or the 2 clossest to the muffler and also i thought the o2 sensors were in the exhaust pipe itself just after the cats if thats the case if you just were to cut out 2 cats and replace 2 with maggies would you still have to replace the o2 sensors for the 2 you cut out or is there only 2 sensors all together and aslong as you put some kind of cat back on you are ok??

Just about all vehicles today operate with 4 (or more) O2 sensors; 2 right after the exhaust manifolds to measure the oxygen content in the exhaust, and 2 after the cats to measure the oxygen content. These 4 readings are used by the ECM to alter/change the fuel/air mixture.

I really don't understand why folks remove the cats in their vehicles. If your after loud, just record an obnoxious exhaust from a dragstrip event, stick it in your CD player and crank up the volumn before you drive off. You don't gain any real HP from removing the cats, and the extra noise you get out the tailpipe is just not worth it IMO. A police "red flag" in most states these days.

And placing a piece of tape over the "Check Engine Light"??? Plan on ignoring all the other potential errors that could occur as well? If my oil pressure guage or temp guage shows too low (or high), I guess I could put a piece of tape over that display as well, and color a fake needle on the tape with a "normal" reading too....

It's your truck though. Your money too. Have at it.

i never said i wanted to cut them out completely i was asking if i would be ok if i removed 2 of the four and replaced 2 of them with highflow cats and wasnt sure which 2 i should remove and if i need to replace the o2 sensors on all 4 or just the 2 i remove completely!! i would never delete them completely but i figured if i already have a highfloww muffler it could only benefit to have highflow cats to finish it off!!
