Too Many Motors!!!
Just last year I purchased a 04 F-150 with a few little things that were done to it already. Not even after a month of having it i had some engine issues, i.e. missfires and sputtering here and there. The problem went away for a while and then came back full force by completely blowing holes in my #7 and #4 cyliders. #7 had a half dollar hole and #4 had a dime hole. The motor was replaced with a ford factory Refurb....and now 5 months have gone by and am having the same issues, this time cylinder 1. I have brought it to the dealerships and the "pro's" I use that term loosely, and they have turned up nothing and told me that there was no issue. Anyone have any ideas?????

the CAI can make a vechicle run lean for sure. When you put it on did you pull the neg battery cable to help it relearn w/ the CAI on there? if not this could be your problem(or at least part of it)

I may have to try that one. I know that when the motor was replaced it should have been done but like i said earlier i am not to fond of who worked on it after doing some research. But that sounds like a good idea to try. Still hoping that it isnt a computer issue....
Gave it a shot and havent noticed anything different. Will keep posting, and if anyone has any other ideas send'em this way.

might try cleaning your MAF and O2 sensors as well as it can tell your motor its to lean or to rich.....might be telling it that its rich an leaning the darn thing out.

The actual motor is not the problem here. You have electrical issues. Wether it is a tuning issue or a dirty MAF or some other problem, you need to do some serious trouble shooting.

Update for those who posted suggestions... cleaned out the MAF it wasn't too bad but had some build up on it. Truck hasn't acted up since so we will just have to see what happens. Thanks all.
