Too many dents and scratches!!!!..... What to do???
Hi guys, this is my first ever post, so just learning how to use the forum. My 2007 Ford F-150 lariat has wayyyy too many scratches and some BIG dents
So I was wondering if anyone would know how to deal with this the CHEAPEST WAY! ( don't want to spend over 2000 dollars!!!)
I know for sure that I will need a complete new paint job, but what's the cheapest and BEST way to do it?
Thinking about replacing the front bumper, which has rust holes, and the front door and tailgate, they have the biggest dents! And then just filling all the dents, chips and scratches with filler and do all the prep
THEN get it all painted factory or jet black with matte grey rockers!
So I was wondering if anyone would know how to deal with this the CHEAPEST WAY! ( don't want to spend over 2000 dollars!!!)

Very few body shops will touch a truck that has had the prep work done. 9 out of 10 times it is sub-standard at best. If you fill dents with bondo it will crack and break and look crappy eventually. 3 options: Live with it, do the best you can, or let the pro's do it right.

I say do it, its not that hard. Then if you get to a paint shop and they like your work or you sign a release, you are good to go.
On the other hand, if they do not like it, they can tell you which they will have to repair again.
Visit some shops, read a lot you can do it. I painted a whole truck and upper half of a beamer in my garage! Both turned out excellent! (base coat clear coat)
Just my opinion!

not to turd on your dreams or anything but getting a full sized truck painted well when it needs alot of body work is going to cost you over 2 grand. i had over 1000 in materials alone when i re did the bronco. and that has alot less real estate to paint
