Too Cold To Start ?
My 2004 F-150 4.6 L. Is sitting in the driveway and will not start. Headlights are bright, dashboard lights up, bells ring, but starter does not make any noise at all. Was -3 last night, High of +4 today, and going down to -16 tonight. Anything I can do to help this, or just wait til it warms up? Thanks for any suggestions. Unusual cold spell for this part of West Virginia.

Not too cold to start. No click or anything when attempting to start? Have you put a multimeter on the battery to see what the voltage reads? It should read around 12V if the vehicle is not running and about 14.5V or so if it is running. You can try getting underneath with a hammer and hitting the starter a couple of times to see if it frees it up so that it crank. If it does, I believe that is the sign of needing a new starter.
